Radiance Energies is an early stage player in the solar energy sector. A firm with great vision and ambition to make the world a cleaner and better place. We were starting from scratch to develop a compelling name, brand identity system and a fresh and approachable personality. And we wanted to establish the foundation to build on solar, into wind, hydro, and other green technologies as the company expands.
Leaning into the nature of the business, and the concept of serving a greater good like the natural world, the logo was derived on a natural spiral framework. Shapes like this are called logarithmic spirals, and Nautilus shells are just one example of the amazing constructs that permeate the natural world. You also see logarithmic spiral shapes in spiral galaxies, and in many plants such as sunflowers. We felt this a very fitting and insightful baseline from which to develop the Radiance brand. Nature forms these spirals in the most efficient way possible, and mathematicians have learned to describe them, using sequences developed in the 11th century by Italian mathematician Fibonacci.
Radiance would become the trusted resource for reducing the energy footprint of commercial environments across the US.
